I would like to be a painter. Salone del Mobile
For Salone del Mobile we unveiled LYS, a textile by Chiarastella Cattana. Inspired by Dagobert Peche and the Wiener Werkstätte, it merges light and fabric, echoing a painterly vision beyond industry—hosted with care by Sofia Zevi.

Domitilla Harding - Lante collection
In Domitilla Harding’s Lante Collection Quartz (2024), glass mimics mineral forms—layered, textured, and pastel-hued—revealing a depth shaped by contrasts between technique and material, where the artificial evokes the natural through transformation.

Mobilier national, "Unheimlichkeit" acquisition
Eight Angle armchairs, designed with Edgar Jayet, blend French craftsmanship, Italian Chiarastella Cattana's fabrics, and passementerie. Part of Unheimlichkeit, they debuted at Milan Design Week 2023 and were acquired by Mobilier national.

Caterina Frongia: Dattilotessile
We presented in our store the latest collection of rugs by artist Caterina Frongia. The daughter of a Sardinian weaver, Caterina experiments with the craftsmanship of her homeland along with a more contemporary perspective on weaving.

Una Stanza, Salone del Mobile
In April 2023 we presented “Una Stanza”, a room conceived as a vessel for the conjoined visions from the collective imagination of the textile editor Chiarastella Cattana, the architect Edgar Jayet, and the glass artist Akira Hara.

Unheimlichkeit with Edgar Jayet, Salone del Mobile
A highly crafted collection at Sofia Zevi during Milano Design Week (17–23 April 2023) explores the uncanny in domesticity, where Edgar’s dreamlike works meet our Altheas in a poetic, tactile dialogue of color, memory, and illusion.

Clouds of Glass at The Venice Glass Week 2022 explores Murano techniques applied to a modernist lamp—an iconic object since the 1950s—celebrated for its ethical design, customizable shapes, and creative legacy left by Italian and international designers.

Ann Demeulemeester Serax
A special edition for Ann Demeulemeester for Serax, this Nura set includes a matching napkin. Its soft asymmetric form and coated linen-cotton surface bring refined geometry and functionality to the table. Made in Italy.

Ago Projects & friends: Hola, Aspen
AGO Projects, founded by Rudy F. Weissenberg and Rodman Primack, connects Mexico City and New York through design. In Aspen (July–August 2020), they present socially conscious works that merge craftsmanship, transformation, and cross-cultural creative exchange.

Conversation piece: Design is dead
Design is Dead is an exhibition featuring works by Chiarastella Cattana, Yali, Charlap Hyman & Herrero, and Green River Project from New York, responding to Italian modernist Enzo Mari, presented by Giorgio Mastinu.

Laura Sattin: Glass Threads, Exhibition
Glass Threads is Laura Sattin’s exhibition at Chiarastella Cattana’s store, where mezza filigrana glass technique evokes textile weaves. Her objects blend tradition and contemporary design, reflecting on context and the dialogue between glass and fabric.

A poetic fusion of Murano glass and Haute Couture, Think Ephemeral by Alice Diaz de Santillana explores fragility, function, and form through limited-edition “Portable Art” pieces—delicate objects that merge tradition, innovation, and personal heritage.

Tanja Balasso: Laguna cushion with We are Here Venice
Designed by Tanja Balasso for Chiarastella Cattana, these cushions pay tribute to the Venetian lagoon. Part of the proceeds support We Are Here Venice and efforts to protect the city’s fragile, unique ecosystem.

Calvin Klein home - Partnership with Raf Simons
Rose table linens – a collection of tablecloths, placemats and napkins from our “Lido” scalloped design, developed in three colour variants for CALVIN KLEIN under the creative direction of Raf Simons.

Lilli Doriguzzi: Danza, Exhibition
Danza by Lilli Doriguzzi inaugurates Chiarastella Cattana’s Venice space with seven Murano glass discs. Playing on light and transparency, the installation explores fragility and strength, inviting visitors into a destabilizing yet poetic perceptual experience.

Arts & Science: Eat, See, Touch, Pop-up
From April 11 to May 6, 2015, Palace Aoyama in Tokyo hosted a collaborative event with designers and artists from Venice and beyond, including Chiarastella Cattana, Giorgio Mastinu Fine Art, Lilli Doriguzzi, and Dayanita Singh.
