Unheimlichkeit with Edgar Jayet, Salone del Mobile

Here, we find an investigation of domesticity, finely balanced between the imaginary and the real, between the object’s familiar appearance and destabilizing replications of its underlying structures. The viewer is confronted with an intriguing sensation of “Unheimlichkeit”, the familiar as unfamiliar, as it reveals alternative realities: the physical presence of the works intertwined with the thoughts and memories that they represent.

Edgar's works dialogue with our Altheas is elusive and perennial, vivid and somber, figurative but also hissing and every inch of it is the setting for a different sequence. It is the tale of a dreamlike world, suspended between the shimmer of day and the rarefied night. The length of day lives in the opposite sides of the fabric and spends its hours among the intricate branches that host, in an endless flow, flowers, hummingbirds and dragonflies. It is a representation of a dream with its symbols, its magic, its hues and shades. And with our Raso 121 in five variations; four solid colors: space blue, citrine yellow, viridian green, egg white. The last variant is the sum of the first. A stripe that alternates six solid colors with a contemporary twist.Yarn-dyed threads gives the fabric palpable saturated vibrations that stand out for their exceptional depth, and which, with satin texture, attain silk-like density and brightness.
